School Council 22/23
22nd Sep 2022
Friday was an exciting day in St Mary's as each class elected their representatives for our new School Council. The purpose of the School Council is that children can be involved in some of the decisions we make in school. Each class from P1 to P7 will be represented.
School Councillors are elected by the pupils in their class to:
- Take the views of classmates to the School Council.
- Work alongside Mr Cunningham, Mrs Donegan and Miss O'Connor to give opinions and ideas to make our school better.
- Go to School Council meetings and take part in discussions and debates.
- Let the class know what was discussed at meetings.
- Be involved in projects that the School Council run.
School Council meetings take place once a month and the councillors report our discussions back to their class.
