P5/6 had the pleasure of working with Brian Poots for a Forest School practical training session today.
Firstly, the boys and girls set out the boundaries and explored their new Forest School site by finding objects that were the same colour as their colour cards. They looked at examples of camouflage and why animals do this and then played a game of birds and worms. The worms had to hide from the birds and the birds were not allowed to look when the worms were being camouflaged.
Finally, the children worked in groups to make pictures of their surroundings using natural materials, they talked about the materials used and what they represented.
A fantastic day had by all, we look forward to taking part in another practical training sessions tomorrow.
