We finished up our Healthy Body/ Healthy Mind week with a visit from Aine Haren the Health and well-being officer in our local GAA Club. Aine spoke to the children in P5/6/7 about playing together as a team, supporting each other and most importantly not giving up. Thank you Aine, a fantastic asset to our club.
P3/4 also had a visit from Pauline Hamill, a dietitian who told the children all about the importance of a healthy diet. The boys and girls took part in many games and sampled some yummy fruit. Thank you to Pauline for bringing in healthy treats for the children.
We had a whole school assembly and prizes were presented to the children for their fantastic creations that they completed at home. Well done to all the children for taking the time to come up with their wonderful mascots, worry monsters and posters. We also had a lovely treat from Tommy Mc Govern in P1 who said a poem to the whole school with such confidence.
Thank you to everyone for making our Healthy Body / Healthy Mind week a successful one. Well done to our Amber Councillors and Eco Councillors for all their hard work 😀
